FEBJAM at the University of Huddersfield

Back in a simpler time, I was a computer game programming student at the University of Huddersfield. It was great to be able to revisit Canalside for a game jam earlier this month.

I teamed up with a group of current students and, over the course of a couple of days, we made a game about ninjas!

We managed to cram in team-based 4-player sword fighting chaos, deflectable Shurikens, various power-ups and a pretty cool camouflage mechanic.

The students were great; it’s good to see that the courses have evolved so much over the years to give people so many useful skills in a relatively short period of time. I’ll keep the team anonymous unless they request otherwise but it was a pleasure working with them! I’ll link to the game if/when it becomes publicly available, too.
